studio 16a was invited to reimagine the interiors of a significant modernist home in parkgate, wirral — a 1960s residence designed by j roy parker. the project focuses on restoring the clarity and intent of the original architecture while enhancing the spatial flow, material warmth and everyday functionality of the home.

guided by the client’s vision, the design maximises natural light and strengthens the relationship between inside and out. original features such as floor-to-ceiling glazing and exposed joists are retained and celebrated, forming the framework for a renewed interior language defined by balance, proportion and subtle detail.

the result is a modernist home reinterpreted for contemporary living.
