located in liverpool’s georgian quarter, egerton street is the careful conversion of a grade ii listed townhouse within one of the city’s most significant heritage areas. studio 16a approached the project with sensitivity to its historic fabric, reworking the interior layout to suit contemporary living while retaining the building’s period character and charm.

original features were restored and complemented by refined new interventions — a calm, restrained palette of materials, considered joinery, and subtle lighting that enhances the building’s generous proportions. the result is a timeless home that bridges past and present, honouring the craftsmanship of the original structure while creating a space for modern life.
