16a was commissioned to reimagine a unique rural property on the outskirts of ormskirk, transforming a working farmhouse into the centrepiece of a luxury countryside retreat. inspired by the understated warmth of soho house, the interior design balances refined comfort with a relaxed, tactile sensibility.

the existing farmhouse is reinterpreted through a palette of natural materials — timber, stone, linen and muted metals — creating spaces that feel calm, grounded and timeless. generous glazing invites soft daylight across textured surfaces, while bespoke joinery and layered lighting bring intimacy and depth to each room.

guest lodges and shared spaces continue this interior language, offering quiet moments of retreat that blend seamlessly with the landscape beyond. every element, from furnishings to finishes, has been chosen to evoke a sense of ease and authenticity — luxury without pretense, rooted in the spirit of rural living.
